The Far End Guesthouse offers bed and breakfast type hotel accommodation, and is conveniently located a 10 minute drive from the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Birmingham Airport, yet situated in an a quiet idyllic rural setting enjoying views across open countryside and the historical Grand Union Canal. The B&B is located nearby the the village of Knowle, in close proximity to Solihull.

Far end’s key feature for guests is it is a mere 5 minutes walk from the town centre of Knowle with its wide choice of restaurants and pubs. This quiet setting also affords guests with secure off road parking (under cover available on request).

History of Far End Guesthouse

Far End dates back to the latter part of the 18th Century when it was built as a public house to serve the adjacent new Grand Union Canal. In those days it was called the Kixley Tavern’. The property reverted to a private residence over a hundred years ago however many features including the cosy Inglenook Fireplace in the lounge and the old beer cellar have survived to this day.


Guests can start with a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and toast and then move on to a full English Breakfast. Alternative breakfasts can be arranged on request.
